Zoya introduced the Mod Mattes collection for summer 2011. I didn't get heavy into my polish collection and nail art until almost 2 years later, and that polish line was no longer available. As I started to get more into the Zoya brand, the color "Phoebe" kept showing up in pictures, and I fell in love.
She was part of the Mod Mattes that consisted of Phoebe, Lolly, and Mitzi.
I would search them on eBay and there were only a scarce number of sellers and man, was that price high! I did buy it though... I couldn't help it.
I saw dupes being discovered online all the time, but no one had posted a dupe for Phoebe. I knew as soon as I opened the package and looked at that bottle, that I was going to want to have more than one. I started swatching blues, mixing bottles, and layering polish. Then Eureka! I found it! I had picked up a new matte summer polish from Walmart and the shimmer was so pretty. I layered it on one of the blue swatches I had and BAM, that was it.

I'm most happy to share it, because I just can't keep it to myself.
Now, to the process! The first coat I used was Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear polish #130 Blue Me Away. I made sure the bottom coat was nice and even. The next coat is by Salon Perfect #507 Bermuda Baby. This look can also be glossed up like my manicure I did yesterday. I'm happy that I have the original, but I'm happier that I have something that I can continue to enjoy, long after my original bottle is empty.
